With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and certifications in the Psychology of Leadership from Cornell University, she possesses a profound understanding of human behavior and effective leadership, which she leverages to drive successful recruitment outcomes. Shannon is passionate about fostering inclusive workplaces and has a deep understanding of DEI hiring and is an AIRS Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter. 

 

Shannon's journey in the recruitment industry began at a young age, as she watched her parents successfully establish their own executive recruiting firm. During high school and college, Shannon's interest in the industry grew, leading her to join their company after graduation. As she expanded her expertise in agency recruiting, she recognized the importance of a comprehensive understanding of the entire recruitment lifecycle, which motivated her to explore internal recruiting.

At Homepolish, Shannon honed her recruiting and account management skills. She managed their end-to-end recruitment process while providing exceptional client services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

 

In her subsequent role at Pared, Shannon played a pivotal role in developing and implementing the company's recruiting process. She adeptly managed the full life cycle recruiting efforts for a wide variety of roles, spanning Sales, Marketing, G&A, and Engineering.

Motivated by her combined experience during the pandemic and her vision for the future, Shannon founded ScaleUp Recruiting in 2020. With experience in both agency and internal recruiting, she offers a unique perspective that allows her to deliver tailored solutions for any organization, deeply understanding the challenges they face in their hiring process.
